Description

A delicious and satisfying Crispy Beef Rice Bowl, featuring tender beef strips, vibrant vegetables, and a savory sauce served over fluffy rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and allow to marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook until browned and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced bell pepper and broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, toss everything together, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  6. Serve the beef and vegetable mixture over cooked jasmine rice and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute beef with tofu or seitan.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like snap peas or carrots for more variety.
  • Adjust the sauce ingredients to taste for a sweeter or saltier profile.
