Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and allow to marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook until browned and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell pepper and broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet, toss everything together, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
- Serve the beef and vegetable mixture over cooked jasmine rice and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute beef with tofu or seitan.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like snap peas or carrots for more variety.
- Adjust the sauce ingredients to taste for a sweeter or saltier profile.
