Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.
- Pour in the milk and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- In a separate bowl, melt the butter.
- Pour the melted butter into a 9×13 inch baking dish, making sure it coats the bottom evenly.
- Scoop the biscuit dough by tablespoonfuls into the butter, spacing them evenly throughout the dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add herbs like rosemary or thyme to the dough.
- These biscuits are best served warm, but they can be stored in an airtight container for a couple of days.
- Try substituting half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
