Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Transfer the batter to a piping bag or a zip-top bag with the corner cut off, and pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about halfway.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a sweeter treat, dip the cooled donuts in melted butter and then in cinnamon-sugar.
  • These donuts can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
