  • 2 cups of broccoli florets

  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the boiling water.
  2. Drain the pasta and broccoli, then set aside.
  3. In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Add the flour to the melted butter and whisk for about 1 minute to create a roux.
  5. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the sauce and stir until melted and smooth.
  8. Combine the pasta and broccoli with the cheese sauce, mixing well.
