- 8 ounces of pasta (any type)
- 2 cups of broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 2 cups of milk
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the boiling water.
- Drain the pasta and broccoli, then set aside.
- In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the flour to the melted butter and whisk for about 1 minute to create a roux.
- Slowly pour in the milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the sauce and stir until melted and smooth.
- Combine the pasta and broccoli with the cheese sauce, mixing well.
- Serve hot and enjoy your creamy broccoli and cheese pasta!

- For a healthier option, use whole wheat pasta.
- Feel free to add cooked chicken or other vegetables for extra protein and nutrition.
