Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, pumpkin puree, melted butter, and egg until smooth.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, prepare the frosting by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
- Once the rolls are done, let them cool for a few minutes before drizzling with cream cheese frosting.
Notes
- For a spicier flavor, add nutmeg or ginger to the filling.
- These rolls can be made the night before and baked fresh in the morning.
