  • 1 cup French onion soup
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, French onion soup, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
  6. During the last 10 minutes of baking, sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese on top of the meatloaf and return to the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
