- 1 cup French onion soup
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, French onion soup, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
- During the last 10 minutes of baking, sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese on top of the meatloaf and return to the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
