- 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup of maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of additional pecans for topping (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, chopped pecans, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt to create the filling.
- Spread the yogurt mixture evenly in a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the filling mixture evenly over the yogurt layer.
- Using a knife, gently swirl the filling into the yogurt to create a marbled effect.
- Top with additional chopped pecans if desired.
- Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
- Once frozen, let sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before slicing into swirls.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer.
Notes
- For a vegan version, substitute Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt and maple syrup with agave syrup.
- Experiment with different nuts or add chocolate chips for extra flavor.
- These swirls can be made ahead and stored in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
