Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cod fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to create the glaze.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the cod fillets on the prepared baking sheet and generously brush the glaze over the top of each fillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- During the last 5 minutes of baking, spoon additional glaze over the fillets for an extra layer of flavor.
- Once cooked, remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- This dish pairs well with steamed rice or sautéed vegetables.
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the glaze.
- Marinating the cod in the glaze for 30 minutes before baking can enhance the flavor.
