- 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries
- 1 medium beet, peeled and chopped
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 cup spinach or kale
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
- Start by preparing the beet. Peel and chop it into small pieces for easier blending.
- In a blender, combine the chopped beet, cherries, banana, spinach or kale, and lime juice.
- Add the almond milk to the blender. If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, add honey or maple syrup at this stage.
- For a chilled smoothie, add a few ice cubes to the blender.
- Blend the mixture on high until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or lime juice.
- Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- You can substitute cherries with other berries if desired.
- For a thicker smoothie, use frozen fruits or add more ice.
- Feel free to add protein powder or nut butter for an extra protein boost.
