- 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the dandelion root powder, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Add the almond milk to the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently until it begins to steam, but do not let it boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in the maple syrup and vanilla extract.
- Pour into a mug and enjoy warm. Optionally, top with whipped coconut cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Notes
- For a sweeter hot chocolate, adjust the maple syrup to your preference.
- Feel free to use oat milk or soy milk as a substitute for almond milk.
- This drink can also be served chilled for a refreshing treat.
