Juicy turkey meatballs coated in a sticky and sweet honey garlic sauce, perfect for a cozy dinner or as an appetizer.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, green onions, egg, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the honey garlic sauce. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  6. Once the sauce has thickened slightly, remove it from heat.
  7. When the meatballs are done, toss them in the honey garlic sauce until well coated.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with additional green onions if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • These meatballs can be served over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
  • Leftover meatballs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
