Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, green onions, egg, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the honey garlic sauce. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Once the sauce has thickened slightly, remove it from heat.
- When the meatballs are done, toss them in the honey garlic sauce until well coated.
- Serve warm, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier version, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
- These meatballs can be served over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
- Leftover meatballs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
