- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups frozen hashbrowns
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 cup ketchup (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onions over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked beef and onions with the frozen hashbrowns and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Pour the egg mixture over the beef and hashbrown mixture, stirring to combine everything evenly.
- Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve with ketchup if desired.
Notes
- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms to the mix.
- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or a splash of hot sauce to the egg mixture.
