- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, minced garlic, melted butter, chopped parsley, sugar, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until smooth.
- Take the loaf of bread and make deep cuts in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture generously into the cuts of the bread, making sure to fill each crevice.
- Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes until the top is golden and crispy.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing in some grated mozzarella cheese into the cream cheese mixture.
- Feel free to adjust the garlic amount based on your preference.
- This bread is best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated in the oven.
