Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
- 8 oz sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the mixed vegetables and cook for another 2-3 minutes until tender.
- Push the vegetables to the side of the skillet and pour in the beaten eggs. Scramble the eggs until fully cooked, then mix with the vegetables.
- Add the cooked rice to the skillet, along with the cooked steak, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir until everything is combined and heated through, about 3-4 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the steak in soy sauce and garlic for 30 minutes before cooking.
- You can substitute the steak with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
- For a spicy kick, add some red pepper flakes or sriracha sauce.
