- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 4 oz pepperoni slices
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup green olives, sliced
- 1/4 cup black olives, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons hot honey
- Olive oil for brushing
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Arrange the pepperoni slices evenly on top of the cheese.
- Spoon dollops of ricotta cheese over the pepperoni.
- Add the sliced green and black olives on top.
- Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the pizza, and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves.
- Finish with a drizzle of hot honey before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, use spicy pepperoni or add crushed red pepper flakes.
- Feel free to substitute olives with your favorite toppings like bell peppers or mushrooms.
- Let the pizza cool for a couple of minutes before slicing to avoid burning your mouth.
