- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk

Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and then stir in the buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined; do not overmix, some lumps are okay.
- Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or a little melted butter.
- Pour the recommended amount of batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown, usually about 4-5 minutes.
- Carefully remove the waffle and repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of cinnamon to the dry ingredients.
- If you want a crispy exterior, let the waffles cool on a wire rack for a minute before serving.
