- 4 slices of bread (your choice)
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup of pizza sauce
- 1/4 cup of sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup of sliced bell peppers
- 1/4 cup of sliced black olives
- 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
- Layer 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese on each slice of bread.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the cheese.
- Add pepperoni, bell peppers, black olives, and Italian seasoning on top of the sauce.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with the other two slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
- Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, omit the pepperoni and add more veggies like mushrooms or spinach.
- Try different cheese combinations for varied flavors.
- Serve with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
