Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 20 saltine crackers
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the caramel sauce until it is easy to pour.
- Pour the warm caramel sauce evenly over the saltine crackers, ensuring they are well coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the caramel is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the caramel layer.
- Let the chocolate chips sit for a minute to soften, then spread them evenly over the caramel using a spatula.
- Sprinkle the sea salt and chopped pecans (if using) over the top.
- Allow the bites to cool completely before breaking them into pieces.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
- For a different flavor, try using white chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
- You can also add crushed pretzels for an extra crunch.
