Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, form the beef mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
- Cook the patties in the skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, place a tortilla and sprinkle half of the cheese on one half of the tortilla.
- Layer the cooked patties on top of the cheese, followed by diced tomatoes and jalapeños (if using). Top with the remaining cheese.
- Fold the tortilla over to create a half-moon shape. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the tortilla is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the skillet, slice into wedges, and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, try using different types of cheese such as pepper jack or Monterey Jack.
- Serve with salsa or sour cream for dipping.
- This recipe can be easily customized with your choice of toppings.
