Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onions, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
- Marinate the chicken wings in the mixture for at least 1 hour, ideally overnight for best flavor.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 30-35 minutes, turning halfway through. In a small saucepan, bring the remaining marinade to a boil, then mix cornstarch with water to thicken it. Brush over wings during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
Notes
- For extra crunch, broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.
- You can substitute honey for brown sugar for a different sweetness.
- Serve with a side of sliced cucumbers for a refreshing contrast.
