- Optional: a pinch of nutmeg
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, turmeric powder, ground ginger, and black pepper.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it is warm but not boiling.
- Add honey or maple syrup to sweeten the drink according to your taste.
- If using, add cinnamon and nutmeg and stir well to combine.
- Once warmed through, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Strain into a mug if desired, and enjoy your golden milk warm.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, use full-fat coconut milk.
- Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
